The playing of games in a group, sing-a-longs, the sharing of toys, and other activities are all designed to help develop your child's social skills at a young age. As the children progress and get older, we begin to introduce the core subjects English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies in order to prepare them for secondary education. We try very hard to make your child's stay at Buds International School Phuket a happy and fulfilling experience. Our goal is to make your child's learning experience as enjoyable as possible so that they develop a life long love for learning.
We are conveniently located on the main road from Chalong Circle to Phuket Town just 1.2 kilometres North of the Chalong Circle. Coming from Chalong we will be on your right. Our new school is opposite and 100 meters past the Wine Connection. Transportation in new school buses with Western safety seats is available. We welcome all prospective parents to come visit us between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm and see the school in operation. We have a very low ratio of children to staff to children. This insures that your child is always supervised and encouraged.
Our classes are limited to 14 children per teacher again to maximize the child's learning experience and to insure your children's safety we maintain at least a 3.5 to 1 pupil to staff ratio. All of our staff truly love children and we all enjoy working with them, especially as we see the children learn, grow and develop into more accomplished individuals. All of our Thai teachers speak English and both they and the school are licensed by Phuket province. Our teachers all are native English speakers with college degrees and TEFL certifications.
We are licensed and regulated by the Thailand Ministry of Education and have won awards for excellence from them.
News, Events and Field Trips:
At the end of our 3rd semester in December all of our students enjoyed a fun and relaxed day of field trips and games. We took the Nursery and our K-1 and K-2 classes to the Phuket Zoo. The K-3 and Primary School enjoyed the show at the Phuket Bird Paradise followed by a picnic and play time at Nai Harn Beach. We had our annual Christmas Party on December 24, Santa Clause came and brought presents and a good time was had by all. We have continued to improve our facilities and have padded the floors in our K-1 and K-2 class rooms.
We have also acquired 2.2 Rai of land in Palai Green, about 1 kilometer from our school where we are building our new Primary School. Be sure to like Buds International School on Facebook

Primary School Curriculum:
We have made a major change and upgrade to our primary school curriculum. We have adopted the internationally top rated, “Common Core Curriculum Standards,” and have been using the modern textbooks that have been specifically developed for this standard. This has enabled us to provide a clear and consistent curriculum throughout the entire school at BUDS to ensure that all of our students are learning and progressing at a standardized rate that is recognized as being elite on an international level.
We continue to offer swimming classes to all our students in the Kindergarten and Primary School. Since Phuket is an island and the culture is very aquatically based, we believe that teaching our children about water safety and progressing their ability to swim is very valuable and important. These lessons also help introduce our students into the world of sports which helps lay the foundation for a healthy and active lifestyle in the future.
